What makes a good summer? For the French, itโs a โbon hiverโ -- a good winter. For us dumb Americans, itโs Bon Iver, the misspelled brainchild of singer/songwriter Justin Vernon, who will be returning to San Diego on Oct. 26 at the Jacobs Music Center at Copley Symphony Hall.
Now doesnโt that send the best kind of chills up your spine? The guyโs songs are the aural equivalent of a lobster dinner in a hot air balloon at sunset whilst receiving a foot massage.
But how do you get tickets?! The first round of BonIver.org Fan Presale tickets go live on Ticketmaster on Wednesday, July 13 and the next round of local presales go live the following day. Tickets will officially be on sale on July 15 at 10 a.m. through the Casbah website. Prices range from $55 to $75 and it's sure to sell out, so get them quick.
The last time Bon Iver made a stop in San Diego was, ahem, forever ago. In 2011, Bon Iver played with Other Lives at the Spreckels Theatre, and the result was nothing short of spectacular. With Julianna Barwick opening this time, itโs safe to assume we'll get a similar result.
