El Segundo, CA (Sports Network) - The Los Angeles Lakers exercised a fourth- year option on guard Jordan Farmar for the 2009-10 season on Monday.
Selected by the Lakers 26th overall in the 2006 NBA Draft, Farmar averaged career-highs in points (9.1), rebounds (2.2) and assists (2.7) in 82 games last season.
The UCLA product led the team in scoring (12.3 ppg) and assists (3.4 apg) this preseason.
