Whether you’ve been training like a pro for months in advance or just want to enjoy a day of live rock and partying, the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon is in full swing this weekend.
Race day is Sunday, May 31, 2009, and starts in Balboa Park, then continues through about 26.2 miles of rock ‘n’ roll by 40 live bands on 26 stages. Over 22,000 runners/walkers are expected to cross the finish line at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot, while thousands of spectators enjoy the party.
The official charity for the marathon is the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training, providing personal fitness training, teammates, and fundraising.
