Google Gives $775,000 for Minority Tech Students

Google donated $775,000 to a San Francisco-based nonprofit on Monday in hopes of supporting minority students aiming for tech careers, the company and the nonprofit confirmed to NBC News. The nonprofit, CODE2040, offers programs to black and Hispanic students who want to work in tech, exposing them to mentors and job opportunities. "Our hope is that through the support of these entrepreneurs-in-residence and the programs we put on with our partners, we can boost the pipeline of black and Latino entrepreneurial talent across these cities," said Google's head of partnerships for Google for Entrepreneurs.
