After Surgery, Man Apparently Bleeds to Death

An autopsy was set on the body of a Pittsburgh-area man who apparently bled to death as he was driving to a hospital for treatment of a surgical incision that had reopened.

Investigators say 34-year-old John Yuhas' girlfriend told them she received a phone message from him, saying he was bleeding and driving to the hospital about 5 a.m. Sunday. Police say Yuhas was found dead in his car about 9:30 a.m., on the shoulder of Interstate 279 in the suburb of Ohio Township.

The Emsworth man's family and girlfriend say he had a history of kidney problems, and had surgery last month on his arm because of problems with aneurysms. Investigators believe it was that incision that reopened, killing Yuhas.
