A woman was killed by a hit-and-run driver early Sunday morning, police said.
A passer-by said they saw the woman standing in the middle of the street and called police.
When police arrived, they found the 52-year-old lying in the middle of Rosecrans Street, according to SDPD.
The accident happened around 12:20 a.m. at the intersection of Rosecrans and Newell streets, Officer Robert Heims said.
It was unclear what type of vehicle hit her, he said.
SDPD Traffic Division is investigating.
No other information was available.
