With the fresh snow in San Diego's mountains, the California Highway Patrol is reminding drivers and residents of its potential dangers.
Before you pack up your family to go and see the snow, you may want to keep this advice in mind.
CHP said there are limited public locations for San Diegans to enjoy the snowfall.
The agency reminded residents that trespassing onto private property is not allowed and could lead to a citation or arrest.
The cold weather can create hazardous driving conditions, CHP said. Please use caution when driving on slippery or icy roadways.
The agency also said to park only in legal spaces. Blocking roadway access for emergency vehicles could cause problems in these conditions.
Plan ahead because there are no restroom facilities where there is snow and locals ask that you remove any trash you bring into the area. Be a kind neighbor and don't leave any trash behind.
