NBC 7’s Llarisa Abreu spoke to the driver of the truck that collided with the patrol car.
A San Diego Police Department officer was treated at the hospital for minor injuries suffered in a crash at a La Jolla intersection Wednesday.
The crash happened at the crossing of Draper Avenue and Pearl Street just before 7:30 p.m.
SDPD said the officer was on his way to a call when his vehicle was struck by a pickup truck while making a left turn onto Draper.
The specifics of the officer's injuries were not revealed. The driver of the truck was not injured and cooperated with police.
