Protestors Form Human Chain to Call for End to Gun Violence

Dozens of people formed a human chain Wednesday in Mission Hills in an effort to call for an end to gun violence.

The group gathered at Pioneer Park to demand changes to current gun laws.

The event, organized by the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence in San Diego, included several people who brought their children along to participate.

“We are trying to bring attention to the public to lawmakers that gun violence needs to stop, especially in schools,” said chapter Co-President Carol Landale.

Organizers say there needs to be more done with background checks to prevent guns getting into the wrong hands.

Landale said the group wants more strict regulations at gun shows and online gun sales nationwide.
