Officers Search for Stabbing Suspect in Carlsbad

A man with multiple stab wounds was found in the alley behind Pizza Port on Carlsbad Village Drive and Roosevelt Street.

Carlsbad police are asking for the public's help to identify the suspect or suspects who stabbed a man outside of a popular North County restaurant.

A 26-year-old man with multiple stab wounds was found in the alley behind Pizza Port on Carlsbad Village Drive and Roosevelt Street, according to police.

Witnesses told police there was a fight involving several people at approximately 8:50 p.m.

The victim was transported to Scripps La Jolla Hospital. Officers told NBC 7 the wounds minor and the stabbing victim has been released from the hospital.

Investigators have not made any arrests. They are now asking patrons of the Pizza Port who may have seen something to call Carlsbad Police Sergeant Darbie Ernst at (760) 931-2139.
