A man who died after being trapped in his second-story North Park apartment during a fire has been identified.
Wayne Hullett, 72, died of thermal burns Sunday morning after his apartment located in the 3700 block of Arnold Avenue became fully engulfed in flames.
Multiple people called 911 to report Hullett’s apartment on fire. When fire crews arrived they found fire coming out of the windows and door.
Firefighters knocked down the flames in about 15 minutes using two hose lines. Once they pulled Hullett from the apartment he was immediately transported to the UCSD Burn Center.
