San Diego Police Department (SDPD) are investigating an attempted kidnapping in San Ysidro Friday night.
The incident happened around 5:14 p.m. on Mt. Carmel Drive and Padre Tullio Drive just east of the Interstate 805.
A 15-year old girl was walking westbound on Mt. Carmel Drive when she noticed a red Honda sedan driving next to her, SDPD said.
The victim began to walk faster and the suspect also sped up his car.
Police say he drove past her and stopped his car to block the victim from walking across the street.
He then got out of the car, grabbed the victim by the arm and told her to get inside.
The victim was able to pull her arm away from the suspect and run away.

Police say the suspect got into his car and drove off. He was last seen turning onto Alaquinas Drive.
He is described to be in his 30s, with a medium build, wearing a grey shirt and jeans. He has a beard and brown hair up to his ears.
