Gulls Will Open Season At Home

Second Campaign Starts Against Tucson

Football season is already here but hockey is also just around the corner.

The second season for the San Diego Gulls in the American Hockey League begins in less than two months and the home opener will be Friday, October 14th against the Tucson Roadrunners.

That game will mark the AHL debut of the Roadrunners after the Arizona Coyotes affiliate moved to the desert from Springfield, Massachusetts.

The Gulls will actually play their first four contests on home ice including their second game that same weekend on Saturday, October 15 against their rivals from Ontario.

The Texas Stars will visit the following Saturday on October 22 and Stockton will come to America’s Finest City the following Wednesday, October 26.

After the first homestand of the season wraps up, the Gulls will make their first Canadian road trip when they pay the Manitoba Moose a visit for a couple of games on Friday, October 28 and Saturday, October 29.

Those contests will take place in Winnipeg in the same arena that the NHL’s Jets call home.

San Diego will also be home on Veterans Day which is Friday, November 11 and the day after Christmas on December 26.
