Fire damaged some equipment fire at a butcher shop in Grantville Friday.
San Diego Fire-Rescue crews were called to the Iowa Meat Farms on Mission Gorge Road just after 10:30 a.m.
The cardboard crusher outside the Iowa Farms malfunctioned which caused a small fire, according to an SDFD spokesperson.
No one was injured.
A call was made to the department’s hazardous materials team because some chemicals were spotted flowing into a storm drain, fire officials said.
Iowa Meat Farms is located north of Interstate 8 near the intersection of Mission Gorge Road and Twain Avenue.
