A driver paved a path of destruction in Pacific Beach Thursday night.
Police say just before 3:30 p.m., an SUV hit a pedestrian at Everts Street and Garnet Avenue, near Trader Joe’s.
Moment later, police say the same vehicle crashed into another car at the intersection of Cass Street and Loring Street.
PB resident Patrick Yeomans was walking home and saw the wreckage in his front yard.
“It looked like a pretty bad one,” he said. “They should be thankful to be alive.”
Yeomans said the female driver was screaming and had to be pulled from the SUV by rescue crews.
A landscaping employee parked on the road said his truck was also hit.
Local
The driver was taken to the hospital, according to police. The pedestrian who she allegedly hit earlier, a man in his 20s, had non-life threatening injuries.
Police are treating the crash as a felony hit and run.
