Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is pledging to stand alongside Mexico and fight the influence of drug cartels, as she continues her visit to our neighbor to the South.
Thursday, she plans to visit a police station in Mexico City. Clinton admits that the American demand for drugs is partly to blame for the current violence in Mexico. But she says this situation will not affect the long friendship between the two countries. Thursday, Clinton plans to go to Monterrey to meet with Unversity students.
Wednesday, she met with students at a museum in Mexico City, announcing 100-scholarships to underprivleged Mexican students who want to study English in the United States for two years.
