Chula Vista Police were investigating a dead body on the 200 block of Bay Boulevard.
The call came in at 1:25 p.m. on Saturday, police said. When medics arrived on scene, they were asked to stand back.
As of 2:50 p.m., police confirmed the wounds were self-inflicted.
No further information was immediately available.
