A woman was arrested Tuesday night in connection to a brush fire on the southbound Interstate 805 in National City.
The fire was reported at approximately 4:42 p.m. in an area that appears to be near a homeless encampment, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
A person was seen running down an embankment away from the fire.
CHP says a woman later admitted to starting the brush fire. She was arrested and taken to the Los Calinas Detention Facility in Santee.
It's unclear if she was arrested for arson or for another incident.
No other information was immediately available.
