A broken water main in Point Loma has created a muddy mess and a headache for evening commuters.
Pooling water near the intersection of Nimitz Boulevard and Rosecrans Street near Liberty Station is forcing drivers to detour several blocks. By 5:30, traffic was backed up for several blocks.
At least two blocks are flooded. Police are on the scene controlling the flow of traffic.
