Imagine listening to a Padres game and hearing legendary sports announcer Dick Enberg call the game. That's about to become a reality.
The Padres posted the announcement on their website Wednesday evening - Dick Enberg will be the new voice of the team.
It's believed that Enberg, who works for CBS Sports right now, will call about 120 games next season as part of the Padres television team, according to the news release.
Of course, many sports fans will remember Enberg for his work with NBC Sports over 25 years including football basketball, tennis, and even the Olympics.
Enberg, who'll turn 75 on Jan. 9, lives in La Jolla.
