Authorities say a Mexican man who crosses the border for work called authorities after finding drugs hidden underneath his pickup truck.
Federal officials discovered several bundles of illegal drugs attached to the truck that crossed the U.S.-Mexico border Thursday morning.
The driver of the truck lives in Tijuana and discovered he was unknowingly being used by smugglers to carry the illegal drugs.
He said a neighbor alerted him to some men "messing around" with his truck while it was parked in Tijuana.
The man then called the San Diego County Sheriff's Department after noticing a strange object in the fender of his pickup truck.
Law enforcement officials checked out the truck and quickly removed bundles wrapped in duct tape from the undercarriage.
Magnets can clearly be seen through the duct tape of one package.

Authorities said the man uses a SENTRI pass that allows him to easily cross the border into California.
The practice is not new. In 2015, NBC 7 reported on smugglers using powerful magnets to turn βtrusted travelers" into unwitting mules.
The smugglers follow behind the unsuspecting driver and eventually retrieve the drugs once they are in the U.S.
