The body of a man found Thursday night crushed to death under an 800-pound piece of concrete in Lakeside has been identified as Matthew Christopher Mitchell.
The 18-year-old came to the site to sleep after walking out of his stepmother's house where he had been dealing with some personal problems, Mitchell's mother told the San Diego Union Tribune.
San Diego County sheriff's deputies reported the body was found beneath the heavy concrete piece at Anderson Drilling, an East County construction equipment company and tool yard located at 10303 Channel Road.
