A two-acre brush fire in Santee was kncoked down around 8:40 p.m. Friday, according to Heartland Fire.
The fire started just before 8 p.m. near Clifford Heights and Prospect Avenue.
The fire came close to one home but did no damage.
Units are being released and crews are cleaning up.
