Body Found in Bay ID'd as Missing Midway-Area Man

Angus had been treated in the past for depression

The body of a man recovered from San Diego Bay was positively identified as that of a man reported missing last week.

Rose Ramirez last saw her fiancé Logan Angus Sunday, Jan. 15. After several days of not hearing from Angus, she filed a missing persons report saying Angus has been treated in the past for depression.

Ramirez and friends passed out flyers in and around Ocean Beach and Old Town asking for the public's help in locating him.

On Friday, a detective from the SDPD's Missing Person Unit went to Angus' place of work and found a note in his locker stating that he intended to kill himself and where his body could be found.

Divers later located and recovered Angus’ body in San Diego Bay police said.

Angus’ family was notified of the discovery.

Ramierz said Angus had bought her a ring on Jan. 10. Their anniversary was coming up on Feb. 6 and up until the last Sunday she saw him, their wedding plans were on track.

They had been looking at venues and were ready to make appointments to go and see some of the sites.
