1 Arrest in Talmadge Apartment Fire

One person has been arrested, accused of setting an early morning fire Thursday at a Talmadge apartment building.

San Diego Fire-Rescue confirmed the fire that started just before 5 a.m. at the complex on 50th Street was intentionally set.

One person has been arrested according to SDFD spokesperson Lee Swanson.

He was later identified as 34-year-old David Jetter.

Smoke and fire was first reported from an upstairs unit in the two-story building, Swanson said.

Firefighters found most of the damage in the master bedroom of the apartment however the unit below suffered some water damage.

A family of four lived in the apartment. The mother and children in the family were not home at the time of the fire, officials said.

No other information was immediately available.
