In San Diego, There's the Father Joe's Thanksgiving Day 5K Run/Walk 2008. It takes place Nov. 27 at 8 a.m. in Balboa Park. There's also the PureFitness Thanksgiving Run for the Hungry 10K/5K. That one starts at Petco Park East at 8 a.m.
Whatever your race tastes, chances are you will find an event that suits you. Most Thanksgiving Day races are relatively short in distance and offer kids events.
