Clinics Taken Off Life Support

A merger between two county health centers has resuscitated a trio of clinic that serve poor San Diego County residents, according to a published report.

The merger of the Comprehensive Health Center and the San Ysidro Health Center may have saved the San Diego, Logan Heights and Lincoln Park Comprehensive clinics, the paper reported.

"We were very, very close to closing our doors,” Makini Hammond, a member of Comprehensive's board of directors, told the papers.

The clinics' new patients pay $55 for, while returning ones pay $35
