When you think of tailgating, you may think of lounge chairs and the back of a pickup. Think again.
The 4th Annual Stay Classy Tailgate is here Saturday, July 18. For $20, you'll get entry to the beer garden, the pre-game concert and a ticket to a Padres game.
For this year’s Tailgate, Stay Classy has partnered with the Padres and The Fleetwood to provide a full day of fun and entertainment.
The Fleetwood will be constructing an outdoor beer garden on J Street between 6th and 7th Street which will open at 11 a.m. and offer DJs spinning from 2 p.m. until midnight.
A solar powered stage and setup in the Park will have live music from Del the Funky Homosapien, Cage the Elephant and ten other bands and DJs from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. Finally - the game!, at 7:05 p.m., the Padres game will kick off against the Colorado Rockies.
Proceeds from the Stay Classy Tailgate will go towards the goal for the year of raising $500,000 to build a shelter for homeless kids in San Diego.
The cost of admission is $20 and $1 from each ticket sold will automatically go towards building a shelter for abandoned youth. StayClassy is working to raise $500,000 to build the shelter. You may remember The Elemental Experience on May 2 in Mission Beach where hundreds of people got together to listen to Matisyahu, Mason Jennings and Pinback.
