Sounds Like San Diego: Oct. 5

For those of us who have supported local music for decades, Monday is a very special night. The San Diego Music Awards celebrates 25 years, and it's a way to bump elbows with all of the local talent who gush blood, sweat and tears to share their art with all of us (officials with the awards said on Sunday that the event was moving ahead as planned, despite the chance of rain). Humphreys will be a place to schmooze, congratulate friends and enjoy some adult beverages, all while taking a step back in awe of this beautiful and diverse music scene in which all of us play a part, whether as business operators, musicians or even fans who regularly dole out their hard-earned cash to see and support live music. This is the music party of the year, and you definitely do not want to miss out. SoundDiego will be there to support and celebrate all of the wonderful reasons why we exist.
