When I was in high school, I'd stay up late on Sunday nights just to hear Lou Niles chatting with local musicians and hearing local tracks from local bands, many that I couldn't see live. Sure, there were house shows and SOMA, Che, and Chabalaba, but finally getting to see the Dragons or the Rugburns at the Casbah was a huge deal for me. I never thought I'd be in this biz, and getting to know and become friends with all the O.G.s like Marco, Al, and Lou has been amazing, and getting to call Tim Pyles one of my besties makes my jobs all the more awesome. Tonight, they're all gonna be hanging out at the Loudspeaker 30th Anniversary show and celebrating the proclamation of 91x Loudspeaker Day in the city of San Diego. It's a huge accomplishment and I couldn't be more proud of all of my friends who've been involved and kept it going for all of these years.
