There are few things better than a three day weekend. You might find yourself looking to celebrate today and tonight, and there are plenty of daytime pool parties and nighttime hot spots to shake your booty, including a special edition of Booty Bassment at the Casbah. There's also a big event with Elephante at the Port Pavilion, Los Cafres play a sold out show at Music Box and singer/songwriter Emily Jane White performs at Soda Bar. For local music aficionados, the evening is bittersweet as a benefit and tribute to Chase Anthony Shelton gets underway at the Merrow. Shelton, a local drummer, recently passed suddenly and unexpectedly, leaving behind a young child. Friends will pay tribute and try to raise money in his honor.
