Sometimes there are people you might not meet in your own life, but who touch the lives of so many around you that you feel like you knew them just the same. When Jeffrey Joe passed last year, my social media feeds were filled with heartwarming stories of his love and talents and heartbreaking tales of the loss felt across the San Diego music community. Tonight is a posthumous album release for Jeffrey Joe at the Center for Spiritual Healing and you can expect lots of musicians to be out in force paying tribute to a man who touched so many. Around town, self-described "vegan, bisexual, atheist mom" Sarah Shook brings Southern country to the Casbah, crooner Chris Isaak returns to Humphreys, and local pop-punk act Alive & Well headline Soda Bar.
