With #MeToo and #TimesUp, we've heard a lot about a new era of female power, and with such strong and empowered women breaking through in all industries, those in music are making for an incredible year of concerts thus far, too. Philly duo Marian Hill, fronted by Samantha Gongol, aren't dropping their much-anticipated record until May 11, but you can consider tonight a preview of the greatness to come. The sparse vocals over Jeremy Lloyd's production have the duo finding the space between indie pop and R&B. At the Casbah, it's a fun night of music and burlesque -- and a few surprises, too: Barbarian's Seton Edgerton plays with his latest project, Well Well Well, at Soda Bar. Those are some great picks and should be motivation enough to get out this Monday night.
