Well, here's an interesting incoming mix: Colombian reggaeton star J Balvin, classic rock nostalgists Greta Van Fleet, rat pack rapper Logic and the other UB40, with Ali & Astro, plus ... Shaggy?
Yup, come fall, all of these shows are coming to various big venues in San Diego, and tickets go on sale on Friday, May 17, at 10 a.m.
On Oct. 13, J Balvin headlines North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre, Greta Van Fleet come to Cal Coast Credit Union Open Air Theatre on Sept. 29, Logic takes on Viejas Arena on Oct. 11 and UB40 with Ali & Astro plus Shaggy are at Petco Park at the Park on Sept. 26.
Got all that?
Good, because these shows are going to sell out quick, for better or worse. J Balvin is a pretty huge international star, having worked with the likes of Pharrell and Major Lazer; Greta Van Fleet are, for some reason, Grammy Award winners now; Logic is a chart-topping Grammy Award nominee; and UB40 with Ali & Astro plus Shaggy, well, there's a whole lot to parse there.
J Balvin, Greta Van Fleet, and Logic have all made appearances in town within the last five years -- the latter two most recently. However, it looks like UB40 with Ali & Astro and Shaggy have been skipping out on America's Finest City.
Looks like it's time to make them all feel at home.
