A dentist in Encinitas is offering cold hard cash for cavity causing candy.
Dr. Michael LeFebvre is offering a dollar per pound to kids who bring in their Halloween candy, according to a report in the North County Times. He did this a few years ago and bought back 50 pounds of candy.
This year he has the help of is 5 and 6-year old children. Once the candy --- which must be sealed -- is weighed, children can drop it into a box that will be shipped overseas to troops through a nonprofit organization at no charge.
LeFebvre's office, San Dieguito Dental Group, is at 267 N. El Camino Real in Encinitas, in the same shopping center as Savoury restaurant and Union Bank.
