This may be the only person arrested Tuesday in San Diego County who rapped after they slapped on the cuffs.
The man was taken into custody in the Leucadia neighborhood of Encinitas at about 8:15 a.m. on Tuesday. According to the California Highway Patrol, Laguna Beach police officers tried to pull the car over but the driver took off in a silver Honda coupe, leading officers on a chase that reached speeds of up to 100 mph.
At one point after the officers had the man in custody, he began to rock in place and rap the lyrics to the popular song "Low" by Flo Rida:
"I ain't never seen nothing that'll make me go
This crazy all night spending my dough
Had a million dollar vibe and a bottle to go
Dem birthday cakes, they stole the show"
The bank robbery suspect crashed after the CHP performed what is called a PIT (precision immobilization technique) maneuver, in which the cruiser taps the rear bumper of the vehicle ahead of it, pushing it into a spin. The car was damaged in the crash that followed, but it does not appear that anybody was injured in the incident. A patrol car was also damaged.
