Wonderspaces is sort of an “incognito” experience.
If you didn’t know the group of 15 art installations was inside the B St Pier warehouse on Harbor Drive, you’d miss it.
There isn’t much signage out front except for a “W” above the entrance. But once you walk inside you’ll find a surprising sort of blend of modern art, pop art, interactive and VR experience.
Wonderspaces returns to San Diego for its second year with the theme: With Creative License.
There’s Squidsoup, a group of UK based artists with an installation called “Submergence.” It’s a walk -through experience with 8064 individual points of suspended light.
There’s also “Corridor” by Toby Dye which is a looping film interpretation of the unique imagination of Stanley Kubrick.
Tickets to the exhibit for July are available now. Wonderspaces is scheduled through August in San Diego.
