A popular eatery that's made a name for itself on San Diego's North County coastline is expanding to a new inland location.

Employees told TheSceneSD that Swami's Café will be serving customers Friday at its newest location at 150 W. Grand with a soft opening featuring some small eats and drinks.

Beginning Monday, Sept. 23, Swami’s Café will serve breakfast and lunch at the same downtown Escondido location known by so many as home to “The Grand” restaurant.

The chain has locations in Encinitas, La Mesa and Oceanside.
