Sounds Like San Diego: June 16
The Felice Brothers headline Casbah on Sunday, June 16.

I'll always hold onto the memory of the Felice Brothers playing the Casbah on my birthday several years back. "I put some whiskey into my whiskey / I put some heartbreak into my heart...." They sang along with Conor Oberst, who was making special appearances on that particular tour. It was an epic night, and because of it, I always make my best effort to see los hermanos Felices, and they definitely stand on their own as a great act, making for a super special Father's Day treat. The incredible Johnathan Rice opens the show, and not only will he be playing some of his tunes, he'll be reading some of his published haikus. Soda Bar's got the Holdup, a NorCal band with SoCal vibes, combining rock, reggae and rap, joined by Unsteady. Brick's got hard rock act New Year's Day, who are gaining some notoriety in the "active rock" genre, and Crew D'etat Brass Band get things lively in Balboa Park at Panama 66.
