The other day I received a really nice email from the director of activities at a downtown hostel, telling me that he refers international visitors to my daily show listings. He also told me that he's working hard to spread the word about the hostel, and that it's not just for international travelers but open to anyone traveling and looking to stay in the heart of downtown San Diego. With that in mind, the hostel is opening its doors to locals who would like to show their art. Tonight they're hosting a free music and art show, so it is a great opportunity to check it out. Personally, I'm hoping to get a bed for Comic-con, but I'm pretty sure some zombies already beat me to it. After the hostel, you'll still have time to get to the Casbah for a double-header of free as they have an early show with three great locals followed by Jivewire. If you've ever wanted to shake your booty on the Casbah stage, tonight is your night, and with the new LED lighting, you can be the roc kstar you've always thought you were.
