Sounds Like San Diego: July 24

Now, Now headline San Diego's live-music offerings on this sizzling Tuesday

Minneapolis indie-pop duo Now, Now is one of those bands that comes out and the blogosphere's heads all simultaneously explode, with the Fader going so far as calling them “America’s Next Great Band." This is sweet, breathy vocals over chill synthy tracks. You could see it going more indie in the future, or far more pop-oriented -- replete with backup dancers -- but for this very moment, the tracks on "Saved" elicit sweet memories of how life was before it got complicated, only you're in it so you can't really see how good you had it. This is definitely a show to see tonight. Around town, you might want to grab your kayak for Roger Hodgson's (from Supertramp) sold-out show at Humphreys, catch Streetlight Manifesto at SOMA 15 years after their first album dropped, or check out the Garners for a chill vibe at Bar Pink's Tiki Tuesday.
