I was never a fan of the term "hair bands" -- that was tagged on so many of the bands from the 1980s.
The big brothers from the '60s and early '70s had long hair, too, they just didn’t blow-dry and use product in their hair like the guys in the '80s.
Cinderella was discovered by another huge '80s hair band, Bon Jovi. Like Bon Jovi, Cinderella was one of the really, really good band from that era. Sure, there were the Wingers and Dokkens from that time, but unlike their schlocky contemporaries, Cinderella was the real deal, and, at their sold-out show at Viejas, they were still the real deal!
