Police have found the car of missing musician Erick Wales at Chicano Park. The Saturn Ion was found by parking enforcers about 9 a.m. on Logan Avenue.

“News of discovering Erick’s car has given us renewed hope that he is nearby,” his father said in a family statement.

Wales, 24, is a former San Diego television news employee at San Diego 6 and a musician. He was last seen Monday, April 19 in Mission Valley leaving for work wearing a black shirt, blue jeans and a brown belt.

“Erick’s Mom and I are asking for your help. We know someone has seen Erick. You may work at a hotel, gas station, grocery store, hospital or restaurant. We are looking to you for help,” his father said.

A member of the band Dehra Dun (now defunct), Wales played keyboards and guitar in the ensemble that would become the Silent Comedy.

Wales is described as 6 feet tall, 140 pounds, slender, with blond hair and blue eyes.

If you have any information on the location of Wales, please contact 619-301-9283 or call the San Diego police at (619) 531-2000.

“Erick, we love you. We are here for you,” his father said.
