Comic-Con 2012 Banners Celebrate Frankenweenie

Comic-Con 2012 will have an exclusive look at the new Tim Burton movie

The banners for Comic-Con 2012 are up in downtown San Diego and features Tim Burton's newest movie.

Burton first made "Frankenweenie" as a short film in 1984 and now Disney has asked Burton to remake his own movie but this time as a stop-motion animated film and, of course, in 3D . Watch the trailer

Young Victor conducts a science experiment to bring his beloved dog Sparky back to life, only to face unintended, sometimes monstrous, consequences.

As part of the promotion for the movie, Disney has decided to bring "The Art of Frankenweenie Exhibition"  to San Diego, giving Comic-Com fans a behind-the-scenes look at the stop-motion animation process.

The exhibit will only be seen in the U.S. at  Comic-Con from July 11 through 15, 2012. Badges for the annual convention are sold out.

"Frankenweenie" is scheduled for release in October 2012.
