San Diego is home to world-class athletes in a multitude of sports. Baseball, football, basketball, golf, the list is long and now it includes double mini-trampoline.
Vista’s Amanda Spitzer has been named as an alternate for the USA’s team heading to the World Championships.
Spitzer, who trains at So Cal TTC in Poway, is the 2015 U.S. double mini bronze medalist. The 17-year-old was named to the U.S. roster after completing verification camp at the USA Gymnastics National Team Training Center at the Karolyi Ranch, which is an official U.S. Olympic Training site, in Huntsville, Texas.
The 2015 World Trampoline and Tumbling Championship take place in Odense, Denmark November 26-29. The 2016 Rio Olympic Games begin August 5.
