During blasting, traffic will be stopped each way, and the sidewalk on the north side of Mission Road will be closed to pedestrians.

The city is encouraging drivers to find different routes during blasting times to avoid delays.

Blasting will take place at 316 East Mission Road and continue for the next four to six weeks.

It will start around 11 a.m. two to three times a week. Air horns will sound five minutes before each blast, and one long horn will announce the area is clear.

Pre and post-blast inspections will be done at all structures within 300 feet.

The condo project, called "Mission 316," is expected to be completed by the end of 2016.
