Cricket Wireless Store in the 300 block of West San Ysidro Boulevard robbed by masked man Saturday, according to SDPD

An armed man dressed in a Spider-Man mask along with an accomplice robbed a San Ysidro wireless store Saturday afternoon, according to San Diego police.

The masked man entered the Cricket Wireless Store in the 300 block of West San Ysidro Boulevard just after 11 a.m., according to police.

The other suspect reportedly stood outside.

Inside, the masked suspect displayed the butt of a handgun from his sweatshirt pocket as he demanded money from a store employee, according to police.

Once the man was handed an undisclosed amount of cash, he and the suspect outside the store fled the scene on foot, heading west on West San Ysidro Boulevard.

The man in the mask was described as being a heavy-set Hispanic male in his 20s who was about 6 feet tall and wearing light blue jeans with a gray sweatshirt.

The second suspect was said to be wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt.

No injuries were reported.

The crime comes one day after another bizarrely dressed thief who is wanted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation after robbing an Encintas Bank wearing a Santa hat.
