Meachem, Royal to Play Against Tampa

The San Diego Chargers will have wide receivers Robert Meachem and Eddie Royal back in the lineup Sunday when they play at Tampa.

Meachem and Royal were both back at practice Thursday.

Meachem had been out with a hamstring injury but also said he'd been missing the passion he had for the game in a recent interview on the Chargers website.

“I didn’t realize it, but I wasn’t having fun,” he was quoted on the team's blog. "It’s a game, and a game that I love. It’s easy to say that, but all of a sudden you get out there and I was putting pressure on myself that I shouldn’t have. I have talent that the good lord gave me. But how can I show it if I’m not having fun? So that’s what I did today, and I’m telling you, I had more fun at practice today than I’ve had in a long, long time."

Royal has also been recovering from a hamstring injury.

Left tackle Jared Gaither and D-lineman Corey Liuget, who has been out with a groin injury, did not practice.

The team leaves Friday for its game Sunday which kicks off at 10 a.m. PT.

Chargers are a game back of the Broncos who play at Carolina.
