Robberies May Be Linked to Craigslist Ads

Police are investigating a series of robberies in which the suspect posed as someone interested in buying an item from Craigslist.

San Diego police detectives said there were three incidents Monday, Aug. 1.
In each, the suspect showed up at a seller’s address to purchase an iPod listed for sale on Craiglist.

Each time, the buyer was armed and robbed the seller. Three people reported having their iPods stolen police said.

The suspect was described as a black male wearing a black baseball hat, black T-shirt and blue jeans, medium build in his 30s police said.

The man was with a woman driving a two-door small, white car.

No injuries were reported.
