Prowler Arrested in San Carlos

A man who was disturbing residents in a San Carlos apartment complex was arrested on Sunday night, according to officials.

Police said they started receiving calls of a prowler running around apartment complexes on the 8700-block of Navajo Road. The suspect was allegedly climbing on roofs and disturbing residents inside.

"The officers saw the male running, chased the male to this apartment complex on Navajo Road. The suspect at that time climbed up to a second story and actually broke into a woman's apartment,"  said San Diego police Lt., Rick Ohanlon.

Police had to use a K9 officer to get control of the suspect. He broke through the a resident's sliding glass door, but never made it inside.

The suspect was injured during the arrest and was taken to the hospital. Charges are still pending.
